DIY Recycled Denim Workshop

Make fun and easy fashion accessories by reusing old denim jeans. A great way to recycle and turn something old into something new. You are welcome to bring your own denim that you no longer wear. Hip Hop Dance Session with Jenny Kita Monday 7/1/13

We are all excited to have the very talented Jenny Kita teaching a Hip Hop dance class this Monday, July 1st. This will be the third session in our Generations Summer Series and this week we will be celebrating the Dance element of Hip Hop Culture. Join us for an afternoon dance class, circle session, and maybe some spontaneous dance battles!

Off the Wall!! Vans Day at Generations

The Fullerton Generations event on Monday had a great turnout for our special guest Mike Dewit . The room was filled with ambitious young artists who's energy created ambiance that is key to any event... positivity and excitement. Mike spoke about his continuous journey leading up to a successful career as an art director for Vans. He shared a couple of stories, showed some samples of his work, and hosted a Vans custom shoe project and design contest. Anticipation filled the room as a blank wall transformed into a collection of colorful shoe design entries. All contest entries gave participants the opportunity to be fun and creative.Towards the end of our session, after competition, volunteered entires were judged and our contest winners were chosen.Top 3 designs won some amazing prizes from VANS and ALL participants got to take home a VANS bag filled with some really cool VANS product. Very RAD!

Our first event of the season was a success!

We had a very successful event with DJ ICY ICE on Monday. The kids had great time decorating album covers and learning mixing basics from beat matching and scratching to blending and cross fading. We would like to extend a special thanks to Dino Mayorga and Tyrone Maximum for coordinating the event. It was a truly educational experience!

We are excited to be back this summer to continue our mission to celebrate and teach hip-hop culture.

Join us for this free workshop Monday afternoon June 17, 3-5 pm at the Maple Neighborhood Center (701. South Lemon, Fullerton, CA 92832 ) as we kick off our Generations 2013 summer series with an exclusive DJ workshop hosted by renowned DJ ICY ICE of the world famous Beat Junkies.

This fun and educational workshop is open to ages 8+. Learn mixing basics, beat matching, scratching, juggling, and a few more tricks of the trade from one of the best in the industry.
