Featured Artist Bio: DJ Rhettmatic

         DJ Rhettmatic is a member of the Beat Junkies DJ crew. Rhettmatic began his DJ career in 1983 with the DJ group Double Platinum, and was one of the founding members of Beat Junkie crew.

          Key-Kool & Rhettmatic's album is regarded as one of the first nationally recognized hip-hop albums by an Asian-American group, and received critical acclaim by notable hip-hop publications such as the Source Magazine, Rappages, Rap Sheet, URB Magazine.

          Rhettmatic is a native of Cerritos, CA, who started DJing competitively in 1992. After rocking the L.A. turntablism scene for a few years, he stepped it up and made the 1995 DMC West Coast Finals. In 1995, he teamed up with Key-Kool for an album called Kozmonautz and has since worked with Ras Kass, DJ Babu (who beat him to win the 1995 DMC Competition), Styles of Beyond, and more.

          Rhettmatic is the DJ for hip-hop crew The Visionaries, which also consists of LMNO, KeyKool, Zen, Dannu and 2Mex.
